Vince KambeClinic Director - PT, DPT, OCS


Vincent J. Kambe, a native of Southern California, received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Pre-Physical Therapy from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2004. He then went on to complete his doctorate in Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University in 2007.

While at Azusa Pacific his education provided him the ability to refine his physical therapy techniques. His training included clinical rotations in an orthopedic setting, acute care at a trauma one hospital, and pediatric care.

Since graduation, Vincent’s concentration has been focused in orthopedics. His passion for health and wellness and a deep desire to help people has inspired him to further his education. Vincent completed an orthopedic residency with the Evidence in Motion group. Recently he became a board certified orthopedic specialist, a designation that only two percent of his profession has been able to achieve. Vincent is a twice published author in "The Journal of Applied Research" on the subject of diet and exercise. Community involvement is also a priority, as he gives numerous public lectures and has been involved with fundraisers for the arthritis foundation and breast cancer awareness. An Avid outdoorsman he enjoys playing golf, hiking and basketball. Vincent resides with his wife Heather, four year old son Daniel and two year old daughter Isabella in La Quinta, California.

Diana HuffmanPT, DPT


Diana is a certified vestibular specialist through Emory University and a concussion specialist working with the high schools of Coachella Valley and College of the Desert for IMPACT testing. She is the director of Avid Physical Therapy's vestibular program and is currently completing the Team Movement for Life director track. She enjoys mentoring and training physical therapy students interested in a vestibular specialty.

She attended Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York to obtain her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. While at Clarkson University, she received numerous awards and scholarships for her leadership skills and academic achievements and participation. She was a leading member of her school’s American Physical Therapy Association Student Representatives, where she helped organize and run a regional student conclave.

Her undergraduate education began in Flagstaff, Arizona focusing on Exercise Science at Northern Arizona University. Diana made her way back to California to continue her education at California State University of Northridge, where she earned her Bachelors of Science in kinesiology with an emphasis in dance. When not practicing physical therapy, Diana enjoys baking, gardening, tennis, cycling, hiking and camping.

Ian HaldermanPT, DPT, OCS


Ian grew up in Irvine, CA. In 2013, he graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a bachelor's degree in Natural Science with an emphasis in Pre-physical Therapy. In 2016, Ian earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine.

Ian has been with Team Movement for Life since earning his Doctorate in 2016. He spent two years in the San Luis Obispo area before moving out to the Coachella Valley. 

Ian’s primary interests are in orthopedics, manual therapy, and modern pain science as it relates to physical rehabilitation. He completed his orthopedic residency with Team Movement for Life. Outside of the clinic, Ian enjoys going to the beach to bodysurf, hiking, watching sports, and enjoying a good beer. He is looking forward to exploring what the area has to offer.

Luke WangPT, DPT, MS


Luke was born and raised in Taichung, Taiwan and was previously an electrical engineer after graduating from the Graduate Institute of Electrical Engineering, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. After working in the IT industry for several years, he realized being an electrical engineer was not his calling and decided to pursue his passion for movement science by starting study in Kinesiology at the University of Minnesota in 2009. He received his master’s degree in Kinesiology in 2012 and started research on the relation between cognitive function and exercises in National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, Taiwan from 2013 to 2014, while he continued applying to Doctor of Physical Therapy programs in the US. He later was admitted to the DPT program in the University of Texas Medical Branch and eventually received his degree in Doctor of Physical Therapy in August 2018. Professionally, he is interested in orthopedic and sports medicine physical therapy and will pursue the Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. In his life outside of work, he enjoys playing basketball, badminton, and table tennis. He also enjoys cooking, traveling, and reading on different topics, including politics, economy, and human behavior.

Matty YavorskyPT, DPT


Dr. Matty Yavorsky is a native of the Pacific Northwest. While attending Occidental College he was part of the athletic and sports medicine team treating athletes in all NCAA sports. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Yavorsky has worked in outpatient orthopedics in Portland before joining the Avid team in 2019. Matty has over 10 years of experience in sports medicine and orthopedics. Matty and his wife Juliana who is also a Doctor of Physical Therapy with Avid enjoy pickleball, backpacking, rock climbing with a goal of reaching the highest point in every state.

Angelica PimentelPTA

Angi was raised in the Coachella Valley and has been a member of Team Movement for Life since 2013. Over the years she has worked as an aide and front office assistant for the AVID Indio office. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science focusing on community health at CSU Fresno. She later returned to school to become a Physical Therapist Assistant and attended San Juan College in New Mexico. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family especially with her nephew playing at the park or watching Paw patrol. She also enjoys exploring the many hiking trails the Coachella Valley has to offer, going to the movies (mainly for the popcorn), and participating in Spartan obstacle runs.

Gloria JaureguiOffice Manager


Gloria Jauregui has worked as the Front Office Manager for Avid Physical Therapy since July 2009. She brings bilingual abilities, outstanding customer service skills and great administration experience to her job.

Gloria was born and raised in the beautiful Coachella Valley. She attended College of the Desert. In Gloria’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, Noah. She is an Anaheim Angels fan, and likes to dance and cook for her friends and family.
