At Trinity Western University, he worked as a Sports Therapist for the Men’s Basketball team for three years. Luke then pursued a graduate degree at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California in which he earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2007. Luke went on to complete a post-doctoral residency in orthopedics and became a board certified orthopedic clinic specialist (OCS). He is actively involved with various local schools and the community charities to improve the overall healthcare education and lifestyle. He enjoys all sorts of outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, climbing, jogging, white water rafting and kayaking, in addition to enjoying spending time with his wife Crystal.

He ended his career as the 2nd fastest miler in school history and was named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll three times. After college, Matthew worked as a physical therapy aide in an outpatient orthopedic clinic and started a weekly community wellness program at the local high school to promote healthy lifestyles. He also coached the high school cross country and track & field teams, and received his United States Track and Field Coaching Certificate.
Matthew pursued his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos, CA. During his time at school he was a class representative in the Student Physical Therapy Associate and worked as a teacher's assistant. He also completed his Manual Therapy Certification course work and looks forward to completing his certification. He graduated in December 2015 with High Honors.
After graduation Matthew moved to the Coachella Valley to begin his career at Avid Physical Therapy. He is planning to start the Orthopedic Residency program in July 2016 to hone his skills while becoming an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. He enjoys working within an active community and helping patients regain functionality to return to their hobbies and jobs without pain. He also has experience consulting with NFL players.
Outside of work, Matthew enjoys running, playing football and basketball, and looks forward to getting more involved with the Coachella Valley community. He hopes to become involved with youth/high school track & field and help promote community wellness.

Kayla was raised in North County San Diego, where she lived for most of her life with her family and dogs. To allow for new experiences and a different type of weather, she went to the Pacific Northwest to begin her collegiate education. She ended up in Salem, Oregon, at WillametteUniversity. There, due to her love of the human body and mind, she majored in Exercise Science and minored in Psychology.
While she loved her time in Oregon, Kayla ended up back in North County San Diego where she was a physical therapy aide for an outpatient orthopedic clinic before beginning physical therapy school at University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos, California. While at school, she completed advanced manual training and was a teacher’s assistant. She graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy and High Honors in 2016.
After graduation, Kayla moved to the CoachellaValley to begin the next phase in life as a physical therapist at Avid Physical Therapy. She plans on beginning the Orthopedic Residency Program in July 2017 to further pursue her love for orthopedic physical therapy. She is passionate about helping others by assisting them in becoming pain free and providing them with the tools to remain so.
Apart from physical therapy, Kayla enjoys spending time with her friends and family, reading, hiking, playing with her dogs, listening to music, and travelling. Her most recent adventure included a cruise that began in New Zealand and ended in Australia. She looks forward to her next travelling adventure.

Diana is a certified vestibular specialist through Emory University and a concussion specialist working with the high schools of Coachella Valley and College of the Desert for IMPACT testing. She is the director of Avid Physical Therapy's vestibular program and is currently completing the Team Movement for Life director track. She enjoys mentoring and training physical therapy students interested in a vestibular specialty.
She attended Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York to obtain her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. While at Clarkson University, she received numerous awards and scholarships for her leadership skills and academic achievements and participation. She was a leading member of her school’s American Physical Therapy Association Student Representatives, where she helped organize and run a regional student conclave.
Her undergraduate education began in Flagstaff, Arizona focusing on Exercise Science at Northern Arizona University. Diana made her way back to California to continue her education at California State University of Northridge, where she earned her Bachelors of Science in kinesiology with an emphasis in dance. When not practicing physical therapy, Diana enjoys baking, gardening, tennis, cycling, hiking and camping.

Following his service, Kurtis attended Concorde Career College, where he received his associate of physical therapist assistant degree with high honors in September 2014. When Kurtis is not at the clinic, you can find him with his wife Melissa and two dogs enjoying the sunny California weather.

Sarah was born in Southwest Michigan. In high school she discovered the mental and physical benefits of yoga. After graduating she attended the school of Natural Healing for Massage Therapy in Asheville, North Carolina. During the course of her education Sarah continued attending yoga workshops. Upon graduating she attended a 200-hour yoga Intensive training and became a certified instructor in Miramar, Florida. She then traveled extensively to states across the country including Hawaii, California, and Washington DC developing her trade. With a strong desire to offer the best rehabilitation services possible, Sarah chose to add a PTA degree. However, due to extensive waiting lists she completed her Associate of Applied Science with honors at Lake Michigan College. In May of 2016 she earned her PTA degree with honors in an accelerated program. In her free time she enjoys traveling, reading and running.
